Welcome to Gao Shan Yuan

In the afternoons, Tuesday through Friday, 1:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m., Lao Wai becomes a tea house under the name Gao Shan Yuan, serving homemade dim sum dishes and teas.

Same Lao Wai philosophy – Same family management.

 

Dim Sum

1. Luo Buo Gao
Popular dim sum dish made of turnip, rice flour, shiitake, spring onions and soy ”sausage”

2. Zong Zi
Sticky rice, shiitake, chestnuts, peanuts and soy “meat” are steamed in bamboo leaves.

3. Chun Juan
Freshly made spring rolls with bean sprouts, cloud ears, carrots, Chinese cabbage, and minced soy ”meat”.

4. Tang Mian
Fresh noodle soup with assorted Chinese vegetables.

5. Lu Wei Dou Gan
Pressed tofu is braised in stock, soy sauce, and spices, and is served with spring onions and sesame oil.

6. Lu Wei Hai Dai
Kombu seaweed is braised in stock, soy sauce, and spices, and is served with spring onions and sesame oil.

7. Shu Cai Jiao
Steamed vegetable dumplings are served with a ginger-vinegar dipping sauce.

8. Dou Chi Dou Fu
Diced tofu is steamed with chili, spring onions, water chestnuts, black fermented beans, and sesame oil.

9. Liang Ban Fen Si
Cold bean thread sallad with shiitake, bean sprouts, carrots, celery, and soy ”ham”.

Marinated soy beans in their pods.
